Description:
This 5 day course provides participants with a comprehensive overview of the LNG industry. It begins by describing the background and history of the industry in order for participants to gain a thorough understanding of its evolution. Participants will be explained the strategic thinking when considering a plant: reserves, technology, costs, contractors, shipping, and storage.
A detailed update and forecast on world and regional LNG trends, together with an update on projects, new markets, supply and demand and pricing, will be provided. LNG contracts, namely sales and purchase agreements, EPC and terminal use agreements, amongst others will also be explored.
Important aspects such as safety and risk will be independently analysed. A section on finance will look into sources of financing with recent examples of LNG financing and business models. In the final session, strategy will be addressed, specifically the role of governments and the impact of short term trading.
