Crystals and optical components of high quality are the result of our over 55 years lasting experience in growing and optical finishing of crystals. Barium Fluoride, Magnesium Fluoride, Lithium Fluoride and Zinc Selenide are only a small part of our great range of different crystal materials.

Transmission spectroscopy from VUV to the Terahertz range

Korth maintains an extensive inventory of CaF2, NaCl and KBr optics that are sold at interesting discounts. These optics have standard dimensions and can be used in different IR spectrometers (PerkinElmer, Bruker, Nicolet….). Additionally, we are manufacturer of ATR crystals, gas reference cells (as frequency reference), sealed and demountable cells for liquid transmission analysis covering the wide range of IR spectroscopy.
We are also specialized in offering coated optics like IR beamsplitters made from KBr, CsI, CaF2 and ZnSe and with humidity protection.

For the FIR/Terahertz range we are able to manufacture custom made optics from CsI, high-purity silicon and crystalline quartz.

With special grade LiF, MgF2 and CaF2 and with new VUV light sources or excimer lasers the other side of the spectrum is becoming presently important in material diagnostics or processing and fluorescence spectroscopy. These optics not only require a very high purity of material itself but also precision in surface quality (micro-roughness and flatness). Korth undertakes steady efforts in this range and in close cooperation with our customers we are improving the specification of the final components constantly.

Our service

Besides our individual consulting in direct contact we understand our focus on the customers also in such services like repair of damaged optics, custom oriented measurements of transmission (120 nm- 40 µm), surface roughness or strain birefringence. Standard components or other optics from overproduction (see the lists at our webpage) can be delivered from stock immediately and worldwide.
