Regulations for quality control, like the most important pharmacopoeias (EP, DAR, USP), require the regular performance verification of the UV/Vis spectrophotometers in use. The Hellma liquid filter complete set enables this test in accordance with European Pharmacopoeia without great expense and in compliance with the rules.

It is, for example, possible to verify spectral resolution, wavelength accuracy as well as stray light and photometric accuracy. The filters are comprised of liquid reference solutions, which are filled into precision cuvettes made of quartz glass with 10 mm light path. The cuvettes are hermetically sealed and can therefore be reused over a very long period. They are suitable for all most spectrophotometers and are also available individually.

Hellma also offers a range of highly robust solid filters for testing in the visible region. All calibration standards are delivered with a calibration certificate. Moreover a recalibration service is offered. All standards are based on internationally recognised NIST primary standards.
