PerkinElmer Acquires C&A Service Solutions Ltd.

PerkinElmer, Inc. announced the acquisition of United Kingdom-based Clinical & Analytical Service solutions Ltd. (C&A), a scientific equipment asset and managed maintenance company serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare markets. C&A, which generated revenues of approximately $7.5 million in 2005, will become an integral part of PerkinElmer's OneSource® service products within its laboratory services business. OneSource consolidates all the essential laboratory equipment service needs of laboratories into a single customized solution. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
