Sysmex to Expand Sales and Support Network in Central Europe

Sales and Support Bases to be Established in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia

Sysmex Corporation has signed an agreement with Müller Medizinische Labormesstechnik GmbH, the Central European distributor of Sysmex products, to take over the latter company's sales and support operations for diagnostic instruments, reagents and laboratory information systems for enhancement of their sales and support network there. With this arrangement, its regional headquarters in Europe, Sysmex Europe GmbH, will establish new subsidiaries in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.

Since the 1970s, sales and support of Sysmex's hematology and urinalysis instruments and reagents and laboratory information systems in Central Europe have been handled by Müller Medizinische Labormesstechnik GmbH.

Under the new agreement, Sysmex will provide direct sales and support for diagnostics products in the region, and Sysmex Europe GmbH's subsidiaries begin operations in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia in fiscal 2007.
