L.U.M. GmbH certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000

06-May-2008

L.U.M. GmbH is now certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 (issued december 2000) for the application areas development, production and marketing of measuring instruments (technical optics) for material characterisation by DQS GmbH Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen.

Prof. Lerche, Managing Director of L.U.M. GmbH: "Quality has top priority at LUM since the foundation of the company in 1994. Already since the first certification in 1996 LUM has been working according to ISO 9001. The present renewed certification continues this business policy and meets the requirements of the ongoing company development. Last-but-not-least in the field of analytical measuring equipment it is not only our wish but quasi a necessity to work according to a quality management system. On the one hand to meet the requirement of the customers, on the other it enables LUM to qualify our instruments at customer site, especially in pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. E.g. our Dispersion Analyser LUMiSizer® determines the particle size distribution conforming to standards ISO 13318-1 and ISO 13318-2. We demand a comparable quality policy from our suppliers to arrange the entire value added chain from the component to our final product in high quality."
