Analytik Jena wants to expand business in Middle East

Analytik Jena AG wants to expand its business with analytical measuring technology and Life Science products in the Middle East region, one of the fastest-growing markets in the world in this field. For its core segment Analytical Instrumentation, the Company added a renowned new distributor in Neo-Science & Group Co.

"We have gained a very experienced dealer and specialists in our essential technology segments who will support our customers in the four largest markets of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain with a sizable employee team," said Torsten Olschewski, General Manager of the Analytical Instrumentation business unit at Analytik Jena AG. "As a result, we can guarantee full support to our customers throughout the region."

With Mohamed Al-Higari, there will also be a new Regional Manager supervising the Analytical Instrumentation division's operating activities in the Middle East. "With the expansion of our activities in the Middle East, we are establishing a further strategic foothold that will reduce our dependence on the strong Asian market and China in particular. The region is playing an increasingly prominent role for us in developing new sales potential for Analytical Instrumentation," continued Olschewski.

Important impulses are expected particularly from the petrochemical industry. At the same time, the areas of environment and health care are also gaining significance as quality of life continues to increase in the countries of the Middle East.

"The willingness to invest in important economic, technological and infrastructure projects has notably increased in the past few years. We are benefiting from this in the form of key projects and new reference customers while maintaining a solid profile that stands out among the competition."

In its largest division, Analytical Instrumentation, Analytik Jena generated revenue of EUR 57.8 million in the past financial year.
