02-May-2005

Malvern Instruments Ltd (Malvern, UK) and PerkinElmer, Inc have announced a collaborative sales agreement that will offer customers in North America a complete solution for their rheology and thermal analysis needs.

The agreement brings together best-of-breed products from both companies for customers in the increasingly important area of material characterization. Malvern Instruments provides a full range of rotational and capillary rheometers for rheological testing. PerkinElmer is the leader in high sensitivity thermal analysis instrumentation and the only company that offers a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) with the ability to perform conventional DSC, modulated temperature DSC and HyperDSC(TM). The two companies will work together at customer sites to offer a full range of rheology and thermal analysis products.

"Our collaboration with PerkinElmer highlights the commitment of both companies to providing unparalleled solutions for customers involved in materials properties characterization," said Randy Byrne, vice president of marketing, Malvern Instruments, Inc. "Customers can not only choose from the highest-quality products available, but will also receive excellent professional support from two of the industry's strongest organizations."

"This agreement benefits customers by providing them with a wider array of choices for their materials characterization needs," said Mike DiVito, thermal analysis business unit manager, PerkinElmer. "We're pleased to partner with an industry leader like Malvern to broaden our product portfolio and expand our sales channel in North America."
